Privacy Policy

PickInvite (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea and related laws, and treats user data with care.
Article 1 (Personal information collected)
- When creating an invitation: invitation title, greeting message, date and time, venue, contact number, and uploaded images. Email is optional. There is no account registration or login process.
- When making a payment: the email address used to receive the payment receipt. Card numbers and other payment details are not stored by PickInvite — they are processed directly by Toss Payments.
- Automatically collected: IP address (for abuse prevention), User-Agent, and access timestamps. These are recorded automatically as part of the Cloudflare infrastructure.
- RSVP and guestbook: guest-entered name, attendance status, and messages. Visible to the invitation owner.
Article 2 (Purpose of collection and use)
- Creating, operating, and editing invitations, and providing RSVP and guestbook features
- Processing payments and sending confirmation emails
- Abuse and spam prevention and service stability
- Service-related notices such as expiration reminders
Article 3 (Retention periods)
- Invitation data (title, greeting, images, RSVP, guestbook): retained for 12 months after public expiration, then automatically deleted (extended upon renewal payment)
- Payment records: retained for 5 years in accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce
- Access logs (IP, etc.): deleted within 3 months
- Email addresses: deleted immediately upon unsubscribe request
Article 4 (Third-party sharing and processing)
The Company does not, as a rule, disclose user data to third parties. Processing is entrusted to the following service providers:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): web infrastructure and data storage (D1, KV)
- Toss Payments: payment processing
- Resend, Inc. (United States): sending payment confirmation emails
These processors follow their own privacy policies and handle personal data solely within the scope required to operate the service.
Article 5 (User rights)
Users may exercise the following rights:
- Access and correction: directly available on the invitation edit page
- Deletion: request by sending the invitation URL to
contact@pickinvite.com - Processing suspension: request via the same email; the invitation will be taken offline
Article 6 (Cookies and browser storage)
The service uses browser localStorage for the following purposes:
- Remembering the "My Invitations" list (stored locally in the browser; not transmitted to the server)
- Storing the edit permission token (edit_token)
You may delete this data at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will disable access to the "My Invitations" list, but the invitations themselves remain accessible via their URLs.
